Prologue ~ Part One ~ Part Two ~ Part Three
Angelus Lover
Written by Angeluslover
Peering around the corner, he finally got to see her in person. The one who had been haunting his dreams. She was even more spectacular in person, if that was possible. Her blond hair fell down to the middle of her back in big, golden curls. Wearing a short, tummy exposing pink shirt that said “Baby Girl', he couldn't wait to see her cry like the baby she was proclaiming to be. Not in pain, but in need for him. She was the one he'd been waiting for - his soulmate.
Deciding to get a closer look, he stealthily moved around the corner, following the object of his desire as she walked briskly down the street. Quickly, she stopped and went in a door, some place called the Bronze. Unable to resist, he followed her in, wondering where she was going and when his opportunity would arise. She was going to be his, and they would rule the world.
The room was dark and crowded, with music blaring and people dancing. Searching the room, he noticed all the scantily clad highschoolers and college kids mingling around, and he knew he could have his take. But he was on a mission. She was here, and she was his purpose. Stepping up to the bar, he ordered a beer, just trying to fit in. The bartender looked him up and down like he was thinking about asking him for ID but one look from him and the man just handed over the bottle. Smart man, he thought. Looking around, he finally got a glimpse of her. She was on the dance floor, tightly entwined with a tall man with brown hair, who had the nerve to put his hands on her ass. Feeling his anger rise, he took an unneeded breath to keep from walking onto the dance floor and ripping the guy's arms from their sockets.
Now was not the time. But soon they would be together. He would not be denied, for he was Angelus, the vampire of all vampires, and she was his destined mate. The fact that she was a vampire slayer was only a detail, something he was willing to work around. And then there was the small matter of Darla....
Buffy could feel someone staring at her. Not just a normal stare, but one of those hair-on-the-neck- standing up stares. Even with her boyfriend, Riley's, hands wrapped tightly behind her, she was on edge, uncomfortable in her own skin. After several minutes of the feeling, her slayer senses took over. Pulling from Riley's arms, she turned towards the bar, where the vibes seemed to emanating from. It only took a second to locate the source of her discomfort. Deep brown eyes penetrated through the darkness, shining from under dark eyebrows. She was immediately taken aback by the face underneath the brows. A strong chin, classic nose and white teeth were surrounded by beautiful alabaster skin. Sucking in her breath, Buffy knew he was a vampire. She could feel it. And a powerful one at that. But, lord, he was hot. Dressed in a gray silk shirt, black leather pants and a black leather duster, he was definitely the sexiest vampire she'd ever seen. Too bad she had to kill him.
Accepting her fate, Buffy sighed and walked towards it. She was well armed like usual, never one to be caught unprepared. As she approached her target, her heart began to beat steadily faster. Coming to a halt directly in front of him, she started at this boots and worked her way up, taking the time to appreciate the package. As her green eyes met his deep brown ones, she was shocked at the pure desire she saw there. Caught off guard, she pulled back just a bit, trying to gain her bearings. Deciding to play the hand she was given, Buffy leaned forward until she was as close to him as she could get without actually touching him. “So handsome, what's a vampire like you doing in a place like this?” Buffy could feel the lust radiating from him, as he unconsciously sucked in an unneeded breath.
“If you want to know the truth,” the dark vampire answered, “I was looking for you.”
Tilting her head, Buffy wondered what kind of game this vampire was playing. “And why, may I ask, would a master vampire search out the slayer? Do you have a death wish, or are you just another vampire trying to prove his manhood by killing me?”
“Oh, my manhood doesn't need proving. And,” Angelus said, leaning forward so he could whisper in her ear, “there are things I'm going to do to you, but they don't involve killing. A little pain maybe, but that just enhances the pleasure.”
A shiver went down Buffy's spine at that comment, and she could feel the juices starting to pool in her jeans. This was one sexy vampire, man, demon, whatever you wanted to call him. Realizing he probably knew what he was doing to her, she could feel her face grow hot in embarrassment. She was the vampire slayer, not some easy lay for the first good looking vampire that came along. Getting angry now, Buffy pulled away. “Well, wishing is a far cry from having, and I wouldn't spend eternity waiting if I were you. So, you ready to do this?”
“Oh, I'm more than ready, slayer. Have been for a while now.” With that comment, Angelus headed for the front door, not even bothering to see if Buffy was following him. His arrogance pissed Buffy off that much more. “Hey handsome,” she yelled, getting his, and everyone else within earshot's, attention, “you think you can get it up this time?.”
Anger flashed across his face, as he turned around. “Well, if you could manage to do something besides just lay there, it might help.” With that he stormed out of the Bronze, almost knocking over a young couple who were just arriving.
Ignoring the comment, Buffy picked up her pace, not wanting to lose him. Whipping a stake from under her jeans, she followed her pray. This arrogant vampire was dead, of that she was going to make sure.
~
Angelus was fuming. That little twit had dared to question his manhood, and then had the audacity to try and embarrass him in front of everyone in sight. She had a mouth on her that was going to need taming, and he would be just the vampire for the job. Walking quickly, he entered the first alley he came to, knowing she would find him. And that's exactly what he wanted. Because when she did, she would be his. He'd waited a long time for this moment, and he wasn't going to let it get away.
The alley came to a dead end, which suited him just fine. No escape for either one of them. Leaning against the building, Angelus crossed his arms and waited. He didn't have long to wait though, as her blond hair shone in the street light as she came around the corner, heading straight for him. Slayer senses must be as good as they say they are. She didn't even pause to see if he had brought back up. Not that he needed any. He'd faced other slayers and won. She would be no different. Except for the fact that killing her was not an option. He would have to behave himself, something he wasn't very good at.
Buffy approached him with a deliberate march to her step. Reaching him, she stopped a few feet short, lunging into fighting stance.
Angelus laughed out loud. “Oh, Slayer, I think you got this wrong. I didn't come out here to fight, but to fuck. We can fight for the rest of eternity, but right now I want to fuck.”
“In your dreams, vampire. I only sleep with people with a pulse, which disqualifies you. And I'm too good for you anyway.” Buffy snapped, feeling her face again flush. She didn't know what it was about this vampire that made her do that.
“Well, if you insist then,” Angelus replied, reaching out and punching her square in the face.
Buffy's head snapped back, but only for a moment. Responding she quickly reached out and punched him back. Because his head was so close to the wall, she could hear his head hit the brick building with a crack. Smiling as he shook it off, Buffy backed up waiting for his next move.
“Come on, bad ass.” Buffy smirked. “What's the matter? Getting beat by a girl?”
Smiling Angelus circled her, enjoying the sight of her breasts heaving up and down as she breathed. “Oh, little girl, that's one thing you'll never be allowed to do. I wield the whip, that's just the way it is.” With that he reached out and swept her feet out from under her, intending to pin her to the ground. Before he could though, she was back on her feet and landing another solid punch into his jaw.
Rubbing his jaw, Angelus smirked. “You're agile, I'll give you that. I can't wait to see what you can do in bed. I bet I know positions you haven't even thought about.” Turning quickly, his leg spun up and kicked her in the chest, throwing her back into a dumpster. With an “Umph”, Buffy rolled to the side, trying to avoid the vampire as he stalked her. “Don't worry about me, vampire.,” Buffy managed to get out, “I get what I need.” Springing back to her feet, Buffy was ready to attack again.
“From that pansy of a boy? I seriously doubt it, slayer. But you'll learn. I'll make sure of that.”
With that comment, he began to back up.
“Oh damn, what is it with people always interrupting me? Can't a vampire get any peace, or at least a piece around here?.” Angelus almost shouted.
Buffy stared at him, wondering where that came from. “Uh, you want to run that by me again?”
Rolling his eyes, he snapped at her. “Looks like we've got company coming. And this is really a one on one, don't you think? Besides, I wouldn't want to eat one of your friends on our first date. It just wouldn't be polite. ”
“What...” Buffy said, a little startled at his retreat. That was when she noticed Riley and the rest of her friends coming to her rescue. Just when things were getting interesting.
Never one to leave without the getting in the last word, Angelus had one last thing to say. “The name's Angelus. Don't forget it, because I am you future. Fight it if you want, but it won't change anything. 'Til next time my slayer.” With a wink and a smile, he gracefully leapt to the top of the building and was gone.
Stunned by his words, a little excited and a lot frightened, Buffy just stood and stared at the place where he used to be standing.
~
Riley ran towards her, grabbing her around the shoulders, almost hurting her in his exuberance. Buffy tried to break his hold, but without much success. “Riley, I'm fine. Would you please let go of me?”
Quickly backing away, Riley smiled apologetically. “Sorry, Buffy, its just not like you not to tell us where your going.”
Feeling bad, Buffy turned to smile at her friends as they approached. There was Willow, her witch and her best buddy, the one who was always there when she needed her. And Xander, her buddy from the start who was a little goofy and a lot loyal, although sometimes too loyal. And then there was Riley, the man she loved. He was sweet and kind and trustworthy. Kind of like a boy scout. 'Where did that come from?' she thought. They made life worth living when sometimes the life of a slayer was not easy. But they helped fill in the many gaps that her life as the chosen one lacked. After her mother's death, they and Giles, her watcher, were the ones that filled in her gaps, helping her deal with all the stuff that being alone for the first time in your life entails.
“I'm fine guys. Just a little vampire problem I would have taken care of it you hadn't interrupted us.” Buffy snarked, then decided she was being too hard. “But no biggy, I'm pretty sure I'll get another opportunity with that one.” Turning to walk down the alley, Buffy stopped quickly in her tracks. “Guys, I need to see Giles.”
Xander was the first to respond, “Sure, Buffy, we can all go see the G-man.”
“No, Xander, there's no need for us all to go. Willow, I could use your help though.” Buffy asked, knowing she needed as much information about this Angelus as she could get. Why she really needed it she wasn't quite sure, but she just had a feeling it was important.
“Uh, sure, Buffy, I'd be glad to. With Oz out of town, I have nothing else pressing or non pressing for that matter.” Willow chirped.
“But what about me, Buffy? Can't I help you?” Riley asked, obviously hurt by what he considered a slight.
“Riley, honey, I know we were going to spend this evening together, but you know this slayer thing has to take top billing.” Trying to appease him, Buffy went to him and hugged him around the waist. Reaching up, she mashed her mouth on his, hoping he would interpret it as a kiss on longing instead of the platitude it was. “Besides, you hate researching, which is what we're going to be doing most of the night. Why don't you and Xander go back to the Bronze and enjoy yourselves?”
“Hey, don't I get a say in this?” Xander said, not sure if he wanted to spend the evening with Riley. He was alright, but they weren't exactly best buddies or anything. “Since I'm not wanted, I was thinking about a pizza and a movie. Something with action, maybe.”
“There you go, Riley. Pizza and a movie with action. Two of your favorites.” Buffy coerced, trying to lessen the guilt.
“Ok, Xander, you're on. You sure you don't need me, Buffy?” Trying one last time, Riley was actually looking relieved at being let off the hook on the researching thing.
“I'm sure, you guys go and have a good time. I'll see you tomorrow.” With a peck on the cheek, Buffy and Willow went one way, while Xander and Riley went another.
~
Angelus stood out of sight on the rooftop and watched the proceedings below. Thanks to vampire hearing, he learned more than he had hoped to about the slayer's little gang. Willow, Xander and Riley could prove to be obstacles, but ones he was prepared to handle if necessary. He'd heard that this slayer was unique in her attachments to humans, but he was still surprised to see it was true. He had expected her to be isolated and easy prey, but she was proving to be a more complicated catch. Not that he was worried about it. It would just take longer.
Buffy stared at Giles as if he'd grown a third head. “So this master vampire was the Master's next in command? Is that what you telling me?”
Removing his glasses and wiping them down, more out of habit than any thing else, Giles shook his head. “Yes, Buffy, Angelus is infamous in the vampire community. He's ruthless, powerful and respected, as well as terrifying. He's been known to kill even his own kind on a whim, for no other reason than he was in the mood. So you say, he, uh, propositioned you?
“No, Giles, he said I was his future, and that was after he wanted me to fuck him. So I'd think the word proposition is a little weak, wouldn't you?” Buffy screeched.
The Englishman in Giles cringed at the language, always uncomfortable at such blunt talk. “Yes, well, that's true, I suppose. I wonder what he really wants.”
“That's obvious, Giles. He wants Buffy. And from what I've found in these books, he doesn't make idle threats.” Willow chirped in. “There are pages and pages of evil deeds in these books about Angelus. I just don't know why he would show up here, and now.”
“Trust me, Guys. I know what he wants. He wants me, and he made it clear he wouldn't stop until he had me. Not dead, but for eternity. The son of a bitch wants to turn me. I can't let that happen. I would rather be dead.” Buffy began to pace, clearly upset by the news that this vampire was related to the Master, the one vampire that had bested her, if only for a few minutes. Thanks to him, she had been dead for a while. If it wasn't for Xander disobeying her direct orders and following her, she'd still be dead.
Giles stood up, seeming to be deep in thought. “Buffy,” he said, not waiting for an answer, “I don't think that's what he wants. At least not yet. If he wanted to turn you, none of this would have occurred. He isn't the type to tip toe around something he wants. This song and dance means he has more in mind than the obvious. There's more to this than meets the eye.”
Sighing, Buffy leaped up and sat on the nearest table. “That's what I'm afraid of, Giles. And we need to find out what it is, and quickly.” Buffy's heart was racing just thinking about her next meeting with him. He made her feel things she had never felt before, and that scared her more than any vampire or demon she had ever faced in her life.
~
Angelus stalked into the abandoned mansion that he and Darla had taken up residence in a few weeks ago. He was a little angry and a lot turned on. The slayer was so much more than he expected. His dreams did not compare to the reality of his little blond. And she would be his. Fate and Darla be damned. As if his thoughts conjured her up, he turned to face his sire.
“Darla, what have you been up to?”, he asked, trying to avoid the questions he knew were coming.
“My dear boy, I've been waiting for you.” Dressed in a floor length, slit to the waist, blood red silk gown, Darla approached him with a predatory look in her eyes. Sliding up to him, she slipped her arms around his waist, sucking on his neck in just the spot she knew he liked.
“I'm sorry, Darla, I didn't mean to keep you waiting, but I was working on capturing our prey. The slayer proved to be little more complicated than I expected, but we will get her.” Angelus was surprised how easy a lie was when mingled with the truth. Darla also wanted the slayer, but for completely different reasons. She needed her to gain the power she wanted, Angelus just needed her. But Darla was his sire, she made him, and he was bound by vampire law to do her biding. Though it was starting to leave a bad taste in his mouth.
“Yes, we will. But no need to waste time while were waiting. Come with me, I need you.” Darla purred, pulling Angelus by the hand.
Angelus's blood stirred, along with other things. She was his sire, and his body recognized that. The bond they shared was deep and eternal, and sex was just part of it. Entering the bedroom they sometimes shared, Angelus didn't have long to wait. Darla threw him against the wall so hard, he would have been unable to breath for quite a long spell if breathing were an issue. Instead he met her head on, returning her kiss with as much force as she was giving. Realizing she wanted it rough, Angelus reached forward and ripped the beautiful gown from her body, eliciting a gasp from the female vampire.
“Oh, Angelus, you will pay for that. That was one of my favorites.” All this said while she was slowing slithering naked down his body.
“You know I'll buy you another one, I always do.” Angelus's hands wrapped a little tighter in her hair with each word. He knew it had to hurt, but he also knew that was the way she liked it. The more pain the better when it came to Darla. As she unzipped his pants, his engorged member plunged forward, waiting for her lips to take him in. Darla's tongue reached out and began to tease him, licking the now flowing liquid from the tip. Unable to wait any longer, Angelus grabbed the back of her head by the hair and plunged himself deep in her mouth. Closing his eyes, he started for a moment as the picture in his mind suddenly became the slayer doing just this same thing. Smiling slightly, he again closed his eyes, and fell into the fantasy.
'Her blond hair was wrapped tight around his hands, and he jerked it a little harder than necessary just to keep her in her place. She yelped slightly, which only made him jerk that much harder in his arousal. The slayer was his to command, and command he would. She would do as he bid, and this was want he wanted right now. Her lips wrapped around him. Pumping in and out, she smoothly took him in, no gagging or choking. She was the best and he knew it.'
Feeling the moment of completion nearing, he opened his eyes to the blond head below him. He could almost imagine it was her, but it just wasn't the same. But this was his Darla, his sire and companion for over 200 years. Letting himself go, he pushed one last time down her throat and squirted his dead seed.
Darla licked her lips, and rose to kiss him. “Well, lover, that didn't take long. You must have missed me.”
If a vampire could have blushed, he probably would have. “Uh, yeah, I did, Darla.”
“So, come and show me how much?” She said, grabbing his hand and pulling him toward the bed.
~
The dream came to him again, just like it had since the day she was called. They were in bed, a roaring fire in the fireplace. He reached out and touched her golden skin, running his hands gently over her nipples, watching her breasts move as she sucked in her breath. Smiling up at her, his cock swelled at the look of lust and longing on her face. Her hand reached out and touched his face, lovingly rubbing his cheek. Leaning over, he took a swollen bud into his mouth and gently sucked, lathing it with his tongue. Moving to the other nipple, he bit down, not hard enough to make her bleed, but hard enough for her to suck in her breath. She yelped in pain, then sighed in pleasure as he licked away the hurt. “Pain can be a good thing, slayer. When mixed with the right form of pleasure, that is.”
“Don't stop, Angelus. I need you.” She purred, pulling his head down to her mouth. Her tongue forcefully entered his mouth, drawing his tongue into a duel as old as time. As he began to purr from pleasure, she unexpectedly bit his tongue, causing him to jerk in surprise, and growl in pleasure. “Oh, slayer, you are learning, aren't you?”
“Well, I have the best teacher, and I've been told I'm a quick study.”
“Quick study, huh? Let's see what I can teach you next.” With that, he quickly turned her over, revealing her golden ass to his eyes. He could tell she either tanned or sunbathed naked, neither of which bothered him. Her days of nudity in front of others were over, unless he allowed it. Pulling her up, he moved her until she was on her knees, her ass propped into the air, her slit glistening with moisture in the firelight. Unable to help himself, he reached over and bit the cheek of her ass, causing her gasped and jerk in surprise. “No, slayer, don't move. You'll like this, I promise.” As she again relaxed, he gently sucked the spot that he had just left his teeth marks in. Alternating between biting and sucking, he slowly made his way over her entire ass, all the while teasing her cunt with light brushes from his fingers. Never quite touching her, but close enough to stir the cropped hair that she had. Her breathing quickened, and she began to lean into him, trying to increase the contact. “Not yet, baby. I'm not done.” With that, he slapped her ass, hard enough to make her cry out, leaving a clear print of his hand.
“Soon, Buffy, I promise. Soon I'll give you want you want, but first, you have to give me what I want.”
He stood up from the bed and slowly removed his leather pants, his thick, long, hard cock bobbing up and down in anticipation. As Buffy began to roll over, Angelus reached out and held her steady. “No, slayer. Stay just like that.”
Moving towards the head of the bed, he thrust his cock into her face, waiting for her to take it into her mouth. Realizing what he wanted, she did as expected. Licking her lips, she leaned forward and gently tasted him, smiling as he moaned. Swirling her tongue around him, she moistened his entire length before taking him fully in her mouth. Angelus continued to moan, his head thrown back in pleasure, while she fucked him with her mouth. Realizing he was getting close, too close, he moved his hand to her ass to again rub her sore spots. Buffy moaned onto him, the vibrations causing him to swell even further. He couldn't take much more, and he wanted her to be with him when it happened. Pulling back, he moved onto the bed and settled himself between her legs. Buffy arched her back into him, trying to plant herself on his cock. Knowing he wouldn't last long, at least not the first time, he needed her to be ready.
Angelus rubbed his hard cock up and down her slit, causing her to moan in need, and his cock to twitch. Reaching his hand down between her legs, he smiled as her core dripped around his hand.
“Oh, slayer, you are so wet for me. Are you ready for this?”
“Yes, Angelus. Please. Do it now.”
“Yeah, slayer. Now.” he whispered, gently sliding his hard member into her dripping center.
The heat was almost enough to undo him. It had been centuries since he felt this kind of heat. The kind that emanated from a hot, blood warm, heart beating cunt. He could have taken any number of humans, but he had never had the desire until her. His slayer.
Buffy gasped as he entered her, her muscles contracting around his girth. He began to quickly pound into her heat, needed to release his lust into her. Leaning over, he whispered into her ear. “Are you ready, slayer? To be my mate for eternity?”
“You are my eternity. Do it.”
Vamping out, Angelus leaned in to take her, to make her his, when suddenly she was there. Darla, naked in all her beauty.
“Hello, lover boy. I see you've been busy.” Unable to move, Angelus stayed perched over Buffy, buried deep inside her.
“ I told you she was mine, but you wouldn't let it go.” Angelus was wary of his sire, but having her and Buffy in the same room naked was doing strange things to him. He didn't think it was possible, but he got even harder.
Darla wasted no time, climbing into the bed with them both. “She's ours, Angelus. Just watch.”
Darla pulled him away from Buffy, with much objection from him, and gently turned her over. Buffy tried to object, but Angelus laid down next to her to calm her. “No, Buffy, don't fight. It will be alright. I'm here.”
As Angelus gently took her lips into his mouth, Buffy gasped as Darla planted her face between her legs. Buffy's body jerked, trying to object, but Angelus held her down. “Just lay back and enjoy it. Trust me, I won't let anyone hurt you.” Kissing her again, he could feel her relax. Rubbing his hands over her breasts, he couldn't take his eyes off of Darla's head while she licked and sucked his slayer's cunt. His cock was throbbing, and he pumped himself against Buffy's hip. Buffy began to moan, her hips gyrating into Darla's mouth. Joining in, Angelus took one of Buffy's nipples into his mouth, causing her to jerk into his mouth. “Oh, yes, please. I need to come.”
Smiling at her, he pulled on her nipples, one at a time, whispering in her ear. “Come for me, baby. Let me hear you scream.”
The screams echoed throughout the room as Buffy let go. Angelus' couldn't believe it when his orgasm hit him and he shot his seed all over Buffy's leg. As he recovered, he looked over at Buffy who was staring at something in the distance, with a look of stark fear in her eyes. Turning his head towards that direction, he caught his breath. They were here, all of them, and they were watching. Wondering what was going on, he turned to face Darla as the stake entered his chest, causing him to be nothing but a pile of dust.
Sitting up in bed, Angelus gasped for breath he didn't need. The only difference was always the end. Sometimes he won, sometimes he lost, and sometimes it just ended, with no conclusion. Leaving him more determined than ever to make sure he won. It wasn't just his life now, it was the slayers'. Not that her position in life bothered him. A slayer was just a slayer, but she was so much more.
~
Buffy started awake, panting and bathed in sweat. The dream frightened her more than any slayer premonition she'd ever had, even the one where the master had killed her. Sitting up and pulling her knees to her chest, she rested her head on them and worked on breathing normally. He was coming for her, she was sure of it. And part of her wanted him to. That's what scared her the most. She needed to see Giles, again. At this rate, she might as well move in with him, she thought.
After taking a shower Buffy looked better, even if she didn't feel better. Donning some hot pink sweats and a visor to match, she headed out to see her watcher.
Giles was understandingly surprised to see her, since she had to wake him up from a sound sleep. “Uh,” he said, wrapping his robe around him tighter and running his hands through his disheveled hair, 'Good morning, Buffy. Is there something wrong?”
Not waiting for an invitation, Buffy marched passed him and blurted out, “Yes, Giles, I think there is. I had one of those dreamy things and it scared the hell out of me. I need your help or advice or something.” All this was spoken as she pranced around the room, arms flying in emphasis, obviously disturbed..
Sighing, Giles walked towards the kitchen, shouting as he went. “Let me get a cup of tea first, and then you can tell me what it is that's got your knickers in a bunch.” They had been up to the wee hours of the morning researching this Angelus chap, and now Giles was tired and cranky and afraid that his slayer was right. This was just the beginning.
After making his tea, Giles returned to the living room and his irritated slayer. She was still pacing, not having calmed down much. He had seen this from her before, but never to this degree. And it frightened him more than he could say. Buffy was a little dramatic, but not for long periods of time unless she was really upset. Sitting down in the nearest chair, he motioned for her to also take a seat. Rolling her eyes at him, she did just that. “So, Buffy, tell me about this dream that has you in such a snit.”
“I'm not in a snit, Giles. I'm fucking scared. This dream was so real, just like the ones I've had before that always come true. He was there, and he wanted me, and I....you know, I let him. And it was great and I never wanted it to end. Then he wanted me to stay with him forever, and, damn it, Giles, I said yes. Just as he was getting ready to bite me, some blond woman vampire interrupted us and, well, you know, it got really weird after that. There was him and me, and her, you know?” Buffy's face turned a bright red and she couldn't look Giles in the eye. “Then just like that, we were being watched by all these vampires. There were like, a million of them, and they were all STARING at us, while, well, you're an adult. You get it. It was so real, Giles.” Quickly standing up, Buffy began her pacing again. “And why do I have these feelings for a vampire? I've met a lot of good looking blood suckers, but none has ever stopped me in my tracks the way this one does. It's just wrong.”
“I believe you, Buffy. I think there may be more to this than what we discovered last night. So what can you tell me about this blond vampire?”
“Not much, she was late twenties maybe early thirties. Petite, attractive, blond hair about like mine, but blonder. But I could tell she was powerful. It was like she had some kind of hold over this Angelus. Maybe she's his mate?” Buffy questioned. For some reason, the thought left a bitter taste in her mouth.
“Or a sire, perhaps? Angelus's sire was the Master's consort for many years, and may be one of the reasons Angelus was made his heir. As much as I'm sure Darla coveted the throne for herself, the vampire world has their own issues with sexism. A female master is just not done in most vampire communities. Did you recognize any of your surroundings in the dream?” Giles was getting more intrigued by the moment, once he got over his initial mortification of the sexual aspect.
“I didn't really see anything, Giles. One minute we were in this room with a big fireplace, like you'd see in a castle or something, and the next we were in a ballroom or something, filled with vampires laughing and jeering, and other stuff I don't want to mention.”
“Uh, well, that's enough detail for now I think. No use both of us dying of embarrassment. I think I'll reserve that right for myself. I promise you that I will use every means available to me to figure this out. I thought I'd checked the Watcher's Diaries as well as the Codex to see if I can discover any clues about this vampire, and what he has to do with you. For now, I don't want you patrolling alone. Take one of the others with you, so he won't have an opportunity to get you alone.”
Standing up, Buffy shook her head in agreement. “That's a good idea. If I'm not alone, I'll be harder to get to. And you'll let me know as soon as you find any thing, right?”
“You know I will. So go home and go back to bed. It's Saturday so you don't have classes today. And if you have to work, just call I sick..”
~
Angelus lay in bed, thinking about getting up and getting his night started, but unable to let go of the feelings caused by his dream. The dream had intensified since they'd been in Sunnydale, with more detail, but it never really changed.. It involved sex and want and power, more than he had ever experienced. Without the slayer, he would die, that was sure. But with her, he might die also. Once a vampire has chosen a mate, it was destined that they join, or die otherwise. Though it wasn't official, Angelus could feel all the same longings and needs that vampires feel once the choice had been made. And even if he did live, he wasn't sure he would want to. She gave him the reason to live, fulfilling all the needs that he had that had been unfulfilled for the past 200 years. And he hadn't even touched her yet. He knew that she was his destiny, and he was ready to get on with it. But Darla also saw her as her destiny. She was his sire, his competition, and his lover. Things couldn't be any more complicated.
The Master's clan had been in turmoil since his death. Darla was the rightful heir, but since she was a female, he had been appointed the next in line. But it was a job he didn't want, and didn't feel comfortable taking from his sire. Not that he didn't think he could handle it, it would just take up too much of his time. Time he was planning on using to tame his little blond hellcat. But he would if it came down to it. So for over two years, the clan had been lead by a council of senior vampires, but that was about to come to an end. They had declared it was time for a leader to be named, and had decreed that if Darla could bring them the slayer, alive, sometime in the next four weeks, Darla would prove her worth and be seated on the throne. But those four weeks were already half over. It had taken them two weeks to find out about her haunts, and to get set up in this house. They were ready to take her, but they needed to find that right moment. What they did with her once they got her was the problem. He had his ideas, and Darla had hers. There was no way he was going to lose this fight. As much as he cared about Darla, the slayer belonged to him. Darla would have no choice to accept it. She may be the sire, but he was the alpha male.
The night was warm and the moon bright, like so many other California nights, the headstones shimmering in the moon's glow. Buffy and Xander were not having much success in their hunt, Buffy having only killed two fledglings. As they approached a bench, Xander planted himself on it, motioning for Buffy to sit beside him. Buffy did as requested, welcoming a moment to just sit.
“So, Buffy, you telling me you really think this vampire has the hots for you?” Xander asked, obviously irritated at even having to ask the question.
“Xander,” Buffy sighed, not really wanting to get into with him, “Looks like it, Xand. Or else he's just screwing with me, which is probably the case.”
“Not to hear Willow tell it. She said you believe this 'Angelus' has you marked for his next victim, and maybe even more. And if the books she looked at were right, he's as big of a bad ass as any bad ass we've ever faced”. As he finished the sentence, he was jerked backwards off the bench.
“The books are only half right, I'm the biggest bad ass ever.” Angelus reached out and punched Buffy in the face as she jumped up, and then bashed the boy, Xander, over the head, knocking him unconscious. Dropping the boy, he quickly turned around, not surprised to see the slayer jump over the bench, ready to take him on.
“Oh, come on, Buff. I didn't kill him. He was just in the way. I gave him a massive headache, but he'll continue to live his pathetic life, at least for now.” Angelus smiled at her, using all his charm to throw her off track.
Buffy could feel her heart start to race at the smile he embellished on her. Hardening her heart, she reached out and punched that smile right off his face. “But you won't.”
Angelus glared at her, angry but intrigued. “Oh, slayer. I will live to see this night, and many others. You, on the other hand, would be better served to accept your fate. I am your savior. There are others that want you dead, and lucky for you, I just want you. But if I have to kill you to get what I want, I will. I prefer you alive, for now, but I could do this either way.”
Buffy never left her fighting stance, not trusting him for a moment. “Others? What others? Besides the obvious, why do they want me dead?”
Quickly turning, Angelus knocked her flat on her back with one good round kick, using the moment to pin her against the ground with his body. “That's for me to know and you to find out. Trust me, and I might let you live through all this. As long as that life is with me.” Looking deep into her hazel eyes, he lost himself in their depth. Unable to resist, he leaned in and took her pink, slightly swollen from his punch, lips into his mouth and kissed her like he had never kissed anyone before. Feeling her pull back, trying to object, he tightened his hold around her arms, not giving her the chance. Feeling her give in, he roughly opened her mouth with his tongue, and began exploring the inside of her mouth. It was only a matter of seconds before her tongue joined in the duel, causing him to moan in desire. Unable to help himself, he spread her legs with his, grinding himself against her hot center, amazed at the lust that shot through him. She was going to be worth the wait, even better than anything the dreams had produced.
Buffy was stunned at the feelings that hit her, first the kiss, then just the touch of him against her. She knew she should be fighting, but she had never felt this with anyone. Her body felt like it was on fire, and he was the only one who could put out the flame. As she gave up the fight and let him enter her mouth, she sucked in her breath at the heat that spread to her nether regions. When he moaned out loud, she felt her entire being vibrate in need. Her head was spinning, lust taking over. When he parted her legs and settled himself there, it felt like the most natural thing in the world.
They continued like this for several minutes, tongues entwined, lower bodies grinding against each other in need. As the need got to the point where they were ready to take the next step, a loud, angry voice came from behind.
“ANGELUS!'
Startled, Angelus pulled away and turned his head around slowly. Damn, he thought he recognized her voice, even in his lust filled haze. Looking down at Buffy, he sighed and slowly stood up, a look of triumphant regret in his eyes. “We'll continue this later, slayer. Next time, don't be so easy.”
Mortified, Buffy quickly stood up, and began running as fast as she could. Realizing she'd forgotten Xander, Buffy stopped to turn around. Wanting to make sure Xander was safe, and hoping Angelus was gone, she peered around the first tree she could find. That's when she saw her. The girl from her dream.
She was angry, Buffy could tell that. Her hands were waving furiously, though she couldn't hear what she was saying. Angelus was even angrier if that were possible. Their voices were finally raised in anger enough that she could hear them.
“She's mine, Angelus. The throne is rightfully mine, and she is going to give it to me. You know I don't care who you fuck, as long as you are there when I need you. But you will not screw this up for me.”
“EXCUSE ME, DARLA.” Angelus yelled, looking like he was ready to explode. “The throne is actually MINE, and it's only because I don't choose to accept it that you even have this opportunity. And you will do this my way, or I will accept what was given to me freely, and take from you the only thing you've ever wanted. I will rule our clan and you will have to sit and watch. Do we understand each other?”
“Perfectly, Angelus. But don't think the fact that I'm your sire will keep me from fighting for what I deserve. The fact that you're a man doesn't mean shit to me. I would just as soon fuck a woman as a man. As a matter of fact, I think women might be better at it. So things might be good between us in the sheets, but you can just as easily be replaced. Maybe even by your little slayer friend.”
Angelus growled in anger, both at the insult to his manhood and the threat against his slayer. Realizing he had angered his sire worse than he ever had, and that was saying a lot, he decided he really didn't care. She would not take the slayer from him. That he could guarantee. “My way, Darla.. Or you loose it all.” With that he stormed off, realizing he was going to have to do some major sucking up to Darla to keep this from blowing up in his face.

Buffy breathed a sigh of relief as both Angelus and the blond, who she could now confirm was his sire, Darla, stormed off in different directions. Running quickly, she went to Xander. He was still unconscious. Gently slapping him on the face, she could see him start to stir.
“What...” Xander whispered, obviously disoriented. Sitting up quickly as he came abruptly awake, he grabbed Buffy and hugged her. “Buffy, your alive. He didn't kill you.”
Blushing, Buffy smiled at him, 'Uh, no, Xander. It didn't seem to be in his plan. At least not tonight.”
“But why didn't he kill me? He had me, ready for the slaughter. I don't understand.”
“Me either. But I think he was trying to be 'nice' to me. Why I have no idea.”
“Well, it doesn't make any sense, but I'll take it. Beats the hell out of being dead.” Xander gingerly stood up, shaking his head in confusion. “So what happened while I was out? Did you kick his ass?”
“Well,” Buffy again blushed, lowering her eyes in embarrassment. She couldn't believe she was making out with a vampire while one of her best friend's lay nearby, hurt. What was wrong with her? “We fought for a bit, then a friend of his showed up and he left. Short and simple.” She didn't like lying to him, but she was in no mood for the lecture that she was sure would come. And she didn't understand any of it anyway. This vampire seemed to have a hold over her, her body tingling again just thinking about his kisses. God, she had to stop! She was the slayer, and she would beat this vampire. It was just a matter of time.

Sometimes being in college sucked. Buffy had spent the majority of the day at the library working on a paper, all the while wishing she was somewhere else. Her mind was fixated on this Angelus, while the slayer in her wanted to be at Giles' place, trying to figure out what this vampire wanted with her. But she'd waited until the last minute, like usual, and this paper was due on Wednesday. She was almost done, but needed to confirm her facts before she could finish.
The time got away from her, and before she new it, the sun was setting. Grabbing her stuff, she quickly headed out, not wanting to be out alone after dark. That entire thought bugged her to no end. She was the slayer, not some schmuck. Being out after dark alone shouldn't bother her, and part of her welcomed it. That was the part that scared her. He was waiting, she could feel it. And a part of her was waiting too. Running to Gile's house, she was surprised to hear her name being called.
“Buffy, I'm waiting.”
Stopping in her tracks, she looked towards the big oak tree she was passing. Stopping to peer, she was amazed to see him there, since the sun wasn't completely down. “How did you get there?”
“Well, first I drove and then I....” Raising an umbrella, he smiled at her.
“You need to get a life. Got to go now.” As Buffy turned around, she was stopped in her tracks.
“Slayer, you are my life. And I am yours. Get used to it. The sooner you do, the less it's going to hurt in the end.” His voice was not loud, but she felt like he was yelling. The expression on his face was one of absolute determination, and he believed what he was saying.
“Vampire, what makes you think I would ever give myself to you, or let you turn me? I'm the slayer, my job is to kill you and your job is to kill me. So I guess you're going to have to kill me, or die trying.” Buffy spat at him, his cockiness starting to get on her nerves.
“Is that a challenge? From the same little girl who had her tongue down my throat last night? Tisk, tisk. You really should mind your manners. But that's another lesson for another day, when I can 'take in you hand' so to say. Hands that just itch to touch you.”
Feeling her breath catch in her throat, Buffy held her ground, not wanting him to know the effect his words had on her. “You should try lotion. This time of year can be hard on the skin. Oh, wait, your dead so it probably wouldn't help much.”
“My, what a smart mouth you have. If it wasn't right in the middle of your beautiful face, I might be tempted to sew it shut, literally. I always was good with a needle and thread, or maybe I'd just use a staple gun.” The sun was almost completely down, and Angelus took the opportunity to close up his umbrella.
Buffy looked around in panic, realizing he had planned this. He'd baited her into stopping, and now she'd waited too long, and the sun was down. Feeling like a coward, but knowing she was no match for this vampire right now, she quickly turned around to head away from her nemesis. Taking off at a run, she could hear his footsteps closing in. With a whoosh, the breath was forced from her lungs as his arms wrapped around her, stopping her in her tracks.
His voice sent chills down her spine as he whispered in her ear. “You are a sucker, aren't you? You played right into my hands.”
Struggling with all her might, Buffy only managed to get herself turned around face to face, instead of back to front, his arms still holding her tight. She was panting for breath, as much in fear as from the exertion. Looking up, she got her first really good look into his eyes. She suddenly felt faint, feeling her knees go weak. The things she saw there excited her beyond comprehension, and terrified her beyond belief. Lust, want, humor, cruelty, domination, need. Everything a girl could want in a man, and everything she didn't need.
His mouth descended on hers, and she was lost. As his lips touched hers, she was glad he was holding her up, because she was certain her ability to stand was gone. Buffy gave herself up to the kiss, wanting to feel for just a moment that which was promised in his eyes. And she did. The hairs on her arms stood up in applause, giving her the most incredible, lust filled, chilling experience of her life. Even better than last night.
Last night.....'And don't be so easy next time.' Easy, that word kept echoing in her head. He thought she was easy, that's what he'd said. Suddenly, her ego reared it's head, and she bit down on his tongue, causing him to flinch and drop his arms. Freed, she stepped back out of arms reach.
Wiping his mouth with his hands, Angelus chuckled. “This seems familiar, doesn't it? The dream, you had it too?”
“I, uh, no, I don't know what your talking about.” Buffy stammered.
“You're a terrible liar slayer. You know more than you even realize, but it will all come to light soon enough.”
Buffy took off as fast as she could, knowing he wouldn't follow her. He'd done what he'd set out to do. He'd made himself her top priority, in her life and in her thoughts. She was starting to get really wigged out. This was one persistent, sexy vampire.

A little while later, Angelus planted himself on the couch in the mansion, one of the few pieces of furniture that they had brought in. It was a big place, and it was intended to be only temporary, so there was no need to fill the place with stuff they didn't need. He'd wanted to follow the slayer, to bring her here kicking and screaming, but he knew it was too soon. But take her he would, when she was more accepting of him and her place. He still had ten days until the council would call this off, ten days to figure out how he would get all that he wanted. Darla was proving to be a problem, even going behind his back to enlist other help if the rumors proved to be true. Sighing out loud, he laid his head back, wishing this was all over. His bond with his sire was as strong as ever, and the stress of going behind her back was taking it's toll on him.
